Anicia Browning

Anicia Browning is an accomplished strategic communicator, media relations practitioner, and law enforcement communications professional with more than 20 years of experience across the Caribbean and the United States. Her career spans government, public safety information, broadcast and print media, public relations, crisis communication, and strategic messaging.

As Marketing Manager-Production, for the City of Miramar, Anicia manages the production and dissemination of public information across video, print, digital, and community-based platforms. She provides strategic leadership in media relations, content and executive writing, community newspaper management, and municipal messaging while providing supporting public information responsibilities in coordination with the City’s designated Public Information Officer and Spokesperson. Through her leadership, she helps shape clear, accurate, and timely communications that advance municipal priorities, support elected officials, strengthen community engagement, and reinforce public trust.

Anicia began her communications career in Jamaica in 1997, developing a strong foundation in government media before transitioning to the United States. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Media and Communication, specializing in television, from the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication at The University of the West Indies and certifications in public relations, radio and television production. She also earned an Associate and Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice - Forensics and is a Master’s degree candidate in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Her professional credentials include Master Public Information Officer certifications through FBI-LEEDA and Public Information Officer certification through Miami-Dade Police Specialized Training Unit.

She is the Founder of Global PD in Motion, Inc., an organization dedicated to professional development, wellness, and organizational resilience within the law enforcement and public safety sectors. Through training exchanges, cross-cultural partnerships, wellness initiatives, and leadership programs, the organization advances collaboration between the United States and the Caribbean while supporting sustainable growth within public safety agencies.

Ms. Browning serves as Chair of Public Relations and social media for the Florida Association of Women Law Enforcement Professionals. In this role, she leads media relations, digital strategy, event coverage, and storytelling initiatives that elevate the visibility, contributions, and leadership of women in law enforcement and public safety. She previously served as Community Service Chair for the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, NOBLE.

Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to strengthening public safety organizations, advancing women in law enforcement, fostering U.S.–Caribbean collaboration, and leveraging strategic communication to promote leadership, trust, resilience, and meaningful community impact.
